Arson Caused Fire Of Historic House In Glasgow
The Glasgow Police Department, Glasgow Fire Department, State Police Arson Investigators and the State Fire Marshall have concluded the preliminary investigation on the fire on Cleveland Avenue and determined the fire was an act of arson.
The home belonged to the late Frances Edwards of Glasgow and burned Tuesday night.
The investigation continues and anyone with information is asked to contact Police at 651-5151.
Several Lodged In The Barren County Detention Center
John F. Adwell, 47 of Cave City, was booked on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in marijuana.
Bryan A. Brooks, 28 of Glasgow, was charged with possession of meth, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving.
31 year old Angela Childress of Lexington is charged with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in marijuana.
31 yea old Ronald L. Crabtree of Richmond was lodged on a murder charge an criminal abuse of a child.
35 James B. Edwards of Horse Cave was lodged on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in marijuana.
19 year old Zachary Moffett of Franklin was charged with burglary.
Kentucky State Police Arrest Tompkinsville Residents
KSP Trooper Daniel Stephens responded to a residence on Glasgow Road in Tompkinsville after receiving information that the manufacture of meth was taking place there.
Trooper Stephens investigation at the scene led to the arrests of 53 year old Rosemary Huckleby and 31 year old John Casey Bryant, both of Tompkinsville. Both were lodged in the Monroe County Jail on a charge of manufacturing meth.
Bryant was also charged on a warrant with being a fugitive from another state out of Tennessee for flagrant non-support.
Sheriff Roger Barlowe and Deputy Lucas Geralds assisted at the scene.
Senator Mitch McConnell To Visit Campbellsville and Greensburg Monday
U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell will tour and visit with employees at Campbellsville Apparel at 10:30 Monday, following that he will address members of the Greensburg Rotary Club at noon Monday at Longhunters Cafe.

The City of Glasgow Recreation Department is now accepting applications for a maintenance worker as well as score keepers and umpires.

Special Called Meeting of Glasgow Board of Education
The Glasgow Board of Education will meet in a special called meeting this Sunday the 29 in the cafeteria at the Middle School.
The purpose of this meeting is to host a "Scottie Salute" recognition reception to honor selected students for ther outstanding accomplishments.
